Vivid was a cooperative design partnership with the speaker company Sonos. Over 12 weeks, my team refined our final product into a device that compliments how the users could enjoy the existing Sonos products. Vivid is a modular and portable mini-projector with integrated UI screens to work seamlessly with the Sonos app, or on its own.

My involvement in this project included: early development and ideation (sketches and foam mockups), refinement sketches, leading the UX (information architecture, wireframes, and GUI), and CAD of the external body of Vivid as well as its packaging.

After understanding who we wanted to design for, we jumped into sketching some early ideas.

With sketch forms that we found interesting and in line with the Sonos brand, we made foam mock-ups to better understand size and the physical experience of the forms.

After receiving feedback from Sonos on our first rendition of the CAD, we knew that we needed to improve on the product's portability as well as making sure the form allowed for necessary internals.
With a final form sketched out, I began leading some students through the UX of our product, starting with an IA and wireframes. We wanted the UI of the Vivid to feel like Sonos but also be as independent from the existing apps as the product itself
